Matt ‘Boma’ Border

Like father, like son! Matt is the offspring of our Lighting Designer, Glenn Border.

Affectionately known as ‘Boma’ for just one reason – Matt loves bombs (of the dry ice variety). Whether it is backstage after a show, in a motel toilet, a shop doorway or anywhere else that could get him in a pile of shit, ‘Boma’ shows great promise as a potential terrorist. Believe me, there’s nothing like getting back from a gig around 2 am, havin’ a few beers and then hopping into the sack and just when you’re nearly asleep – BANG!!! And believe me they’re loud!

As well as creating bombs, Matt is responsible for other things like the dry ice and smoke machines, the hydraulic drum riser, motorised scenery and a whole host of really mundane crap. Matt also becomes the punch bag when things go wrong and we needed to vent our frustrations, which he handles admirably. As an added bonus he also knows hot young chicks in every town!
