Heart Felt Thanks

The Pink Floyd Experience would like to thank everybody who attended our 2017 Animals 40th Anniversary Tour shows.  After 20 years of performing Pink Floyd’s amazing music, we felt this was the best show we have delivered yet.  Playing three entire albums, Animals, Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon was a real highlight for us, as that’s how we first listened to Pink Floyd when growing up. Three complete albums, with playlists in the correct order, played through from sta...

Nevtech Gnometronics

A self-confessed ‘cheeky little bugger’, Nev joined The Experience on our 10th Anniversary tour in 2007 after running away from his home in Invercargill. He originally persuaded his mate Doc to accompany him on his new adventures, however Doc was such a wuss that he piked out at Timaru and returned to Invercargill early without seeing his 10th Anniversary contract out! Nev is only too happy to leave his goldfish pond in Invercargill to take up another contract with The Experie...

Brisbane Pink Floyd Tribute Tour Show

The Perfect Show: Australia’s Best Pink Floyd Tribute Band Goes on Tour in BrisbanePink Floyd fans in Brisbane and around the world mourned when the band retired. After decades of unparalleled critical and commercial success, it seemed unfathomable that one of the most important rock music institutions would finally bid farewell to the industry on which they left such a mark, but such is a consequence of time passing. With Richard Wright no longer around to play keyboards, many have given up h...

Pink Floyd Tribute Show

The Best Pink Floyd Tribute Show AnywherePink Floyd has endured in one form or another for over five decades. What makes this band so unique and enduring that a group of friends would decide to one day play a tribute show? Moreover, how were those friends able to take that one performance and build it into a Pink Floyd tribute band that has toured internationally? Simply, the band’s music is powerful and speaks to fans and performers on a deep emotional level. It is our wish to bring some of t...

Pink Floyd Tribute Band - Australia

The Hottest Pink Floyd Tribute Band in Australia is on TourThe 1970s produced some of the greatest rock n’ roll bands in history, but few had the lasting impact of Pink Floyd. Regarded as an enigma even during their own time, legions of fans still remember Floyd today for their cryptic lyrics, technical skill and sweeping sonic arrangements. Unfortunately, Pink Floyd’s last studio release took place in 2014, and the band stopped touring following the death of keyboardist Richard Wright (alon...

Sydney Pink Floyd Tribute Tour Show

This Pink Floyd Tribute Band is Going on Tour Through Sydney for an Incredible ShowClassic rock fans will probably argue for the rest of their lives over which 20th-century rockers deserve a place of honour above the rest—bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and The Who each have their own massive and dedicated base of fans. For many though, the most iconic and influential band of the last hundred years is indisputable: Pink Floyd. Bursting onto the London scene in the 1960s and reaching...

The Pink Floyd Experience (Australia 2008)

Rock is not actually my genre. From the relative safety and self sufficiency if not self satisfaction of my Classical training, I have been heard to assert that “good rock music” is an oxymoron. Nevertheless this curmudgeon has had a Damascus Road experience. In spite of all prejudices, it is clear that this music has intrinsic value and these musicians are people of rare talent. And anyway it is hard to ignore one of the most influential bands of all time especially when one is a f...

The Pink Floyd Experience in Jozi

That concert was magnificent, complete with white wall, irresistible grammatically incorrect choruses and a strutting Nazi-like Gratkowski belting out Roger Waters’ lyrics. You must have been on the dark side of the moon if you haven’t heard or sung along to at least one song from the British supergroup Pink Floyd. PULSE, by New Zealand’s The Pink Floyd Experience, is the latest show to pay homage to the band whose career peaked twenty to thirty years ago and is on stage at The Mandela...

Musical highs in Pink Floyd Experience (Johannesburg 2011)

Those mildly interested in this iconic band may well find this is a laid-back musical exploration into the extensive songbook of Pink Floyd. It’s all about quality musicianship and a fine eye for detail. There are no undue stage histrionics. The producers of this show, which comes from Down Under, have conceived a concert that recreates the band’s landmark stadium show, The Division Bell Tour, which was released as an album in the 1990s entitled ‘Pulse’.The musicianship is an outstan...

Pink Floyd Experience Pulse 2011 (Joburg Theatre)

This music pulses in the veins of the audience even after the show has ended.Utter darkness, a spotlight shines brightly on the first musician, the spotlight moves, highlighting even more talent until the stage is full of light; the audience hold their breath until the first word is sung. Lights shine and laser beams dance, the overall performance was and still is spectacular. The night started off with the programme, most people flick through them in absolute boredom, trying to pass the time. Bu...

Psychedelia to inspire all ages - NZ 2009

Another enjoyable experience was enjoyed by a nearly full Regent Theatre on Wednesday; a Pink Floyd Experience, that is.The Experience is a regular visitor to Dunedin and long may that association continue. It was almost like a reunion at the concert, with people who attended The Wall in 2007 coming back for the Back Catalogue 2009 concert.For nearly three hours, the audience was treated to some fine musicianship. In fact, the five members of the Experience, along with s...

No Farting in the Church of Rock (Johannesburg 2005)

I was a tender 12 years old when I first heard Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2), and I’ve never been the same since. It was 1980, the year after The Wall was released, and I’d just started high school. The song was being covered by a band comprised of older pupils at a school function welcoming us Standard 6 kids, and the lyrics ‘we don’t need no education, we don’t need no thought control’ blew my impressionable young mind.Although I re...

Comfortably awesome! (Johannesburg 2005)

It is billed as a tribute to Pink Floyd, without a doubt the best rock band in the world. Pink Floyd have been an integral part of my life for the best part of over 30 years. I have followed them since school, through varsity and now as a middle-aged father. Following Pink Floyd is like yoga, jogging and journalism – it’s a way of life. I saw former front-man Roger Waters when he came here some years ago and that was unforgettable. But this show was awesome. The kiwis doing the show offer a p...

The Pink Floyd Experience - Johannesburg 2005

"Hey! Teacher! Leave those kids alone!" is the command and "all in all you're just another brick in the wall" the explanation.Small wonder that the South African government of the day "discouraged" young people from listening to Pink Floyd's music. (The album The Wall was released in 1979, the movie in 1982.) In those years the state-dominated media still regularly jumped on its high horse and "Another Brick in the Wall" was banned from the SABC.By 1982, of course, Pink ...

Pink Floyd Experience - The Wall (2002)

Arriving at the packed Theatre Royal one would expect an international act, and the performance was worthy of it. A very slick light show illuminated a stellar performance by an amazing band. These guys obviously love Pink Floyd and their music as they replicated it so well. The light show was right up there with the best of them. A circular screen in the middle of the stage projected images from Floyd, the stage, and the odd image of JC(?) - why, I cannot fathom!...
